+ About the Conference & Who Should Attend

The Governmental Affairs Conference dates have changed!  The new dates will be October 25-27, 2013.  

The 2013 Governmental Affairs Conference is an opportunity for NEI member company executives to hear from congressional and administration leaders, state and local officials, and third-party organizations about the myriad issues facing the nuclear energy industry.  This three-day conference, which will include congressional staff, policymakers and key executive branch officials, will provide interactive discussions about actions under way in the states and legislative activity on Capitol Hill.

Who Should Attend?

Washington representatives from NEI member companies, state and local affairs executives, as well as managers responsible for coordinating communications and public affairs should consider attending this conference.

The conference will adjourn after Sunday's General Session.

Business Casual attire is encouraged for the entire forum.

Guests are encouraged to attend. The guest fee of $125, for ages 18 and over, is inclusive of the Friday's reception, Saturday’s breakfast and dinner and Sunday’s breakfast.  There is no fee for guests under 18 years of age.

Sign up for the Saturday golf tournament on the conference registration form. The tournament will take place at the Mystic Rock Course.  A boxed lunch will be provided on this day. The golf tournament fee of $175 includes: practice facility, cart, greens fees, on-course refreshments and prizes.  Gratuities are at the individual’s discretion.

Visit Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Fallingwater home.  The tour will include the home as well as the grounds surrounding it.  All tour participants must be 6 years of age or older.  Transportation will be provided.

A full-service spa complete with exercise classes is available at Nemacolin. Make your reservations in advance by calling 866.344.6957.

Golfers may arrange their own tee times Friday and Sunday by contacting the hotel directly and asking for the golf shop.

Cancellation Policy

Please ensure that your registration form is received by October 18, 2013.  Registrations received after that date may not appear on the final participants list.  A $75 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds received on or before October 11, 2013.  Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for cancellations received after October 11, however, we would be pleased to accept a substitute.

All room rates are subject to the current occupancy tax. Please guarantee your reservation with a major credit card. A one-night stay is required as a deposit.

To guarantee a room at this rate, you must make your reservation by October 11. After this date, the price and room availability are at the discretion of the hotel. Hotel cancellations within 7 days of scheduled arrival will forfeit deposit.
