Favorability Toward Nuclear Energy Stronger Among Plant Neighbors Than General Public, Summer 2013
Residents who live near America’s nuclear power plants strongly support nuclear energy and the nearby plant. This finding is from the fifth biennial survey of people living within the 10-mile radius of the 61 sites where the 100 nuclear power plants are located. The survey, conducted June 3-24, 2013, was designed to take the pulse of plant neighbors nationally. Attitudes may be less favorable than the national average in some locations and more favorable in others.
