WASHINGTON—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) today announced that Charles M. “Chuck” Dugger, vice president of operations at Entergy Nuclear’s Pilgrim power station, has joined the NEI staff as a loaned executive. Dugger has been named vice president of nuclear operations at NEI.
Dugger’s areas of responsibility include operations, engineering, plant performance improvement, waste management and health physics programs. He already serves on a number of industry working groups and task forces coordinated through NEI.
Dugger is one of three industry executives who have joined the NEI staff in recent weeks as loaned executives. NEI President and Chief Executive Officer Joe F. Colvin announced last month that, as part of a broad reorganization of NEI resources, Don Cox and Mike Comiskey are joining NEI as chief financial officer and as senior director of member outreach in the Member Relations and External Affairs Division, respectively. Cox is controller-nuclear plant projects at Westinghouse. Comiskey is vice president-nuclear automation at Westinghouse.
“I am tremendously pleased that Chuck Dugger has joined our team to continue to strengthen nuclear plant operations expertise at NEI,” Colvin said. “Entergy, like Westinghouse, is making a visible commitment of its own resources to the success of industry efforts by having Chuck Dugger join Don Cox and Mike Comiskey as loaned executives.”
The Nuclear Energy Institute is the nuclear energy industry’s policy organization. This news release and additional information about nuclear energy are available on NEI’s Internet site at http://www.nei.org.
