NEW YORK—Nuclear Energy Institute has elected James L. Robo, chairman and chief executive officer of NextEra Energy Inc., to its executive committee. The election took place today at an executive committee meeting preceding NEI’s briefing for Wall Street analysts Thursday morning.
The NEI executive committee sets broad policy for the nuclear energy industry, which operates 100 nuclear power plants in 31 states and supplies electricity to one of every five U.S. homes and businesses.
During today’s meeting, Joseph E. Pollock was elected as NEI’s vice president of nuclear operations. Pollock has been serving since 2012 in that role as a loaned executive before retiring from Entergy Operations Inc.
