The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the Cyber Security Plans and Implementation Schedules for all currently operating commercial nuclear power reactors in the United States.  The NEI Cyber Security Implementation Workshop will assist licensees in implementing the requirements of the Plan and in meeting the milestones in the Implementation Schedule.

Attendance at day one of the Workshop is restricted to employees of nuclear power plant utilities.  Others will not be permitted to register or attend.  Day one will focus on the activities associated with implementing milestones from the Implementation Schedule that are due to be completed by December 31, 2012. The format will be small break-out sessions that will focus on each of the seven milestones.  Session leaders will facilitate in-depth discussion regarding milestone implementation strategies, acceptance criteria, guidance for conducting audits and assessments, and preparing for inspections of the program.

Days two and three will be open for general attendance, and will include presentations, panel discussions, and exhibitor fire-talks.

• Oversight personnel responsible for auditing the Cyber Security Program
• Physical security personnel supporting cyber security program implementation
• Other members of the CSAT
• Licensing and regulatory affairs personnel supporting cyber security

• Other stakeholders with an interest in nuclear sector cyber security
• Researchers, vendors, and suppliers

Conference Information

The meeting will take place entirely at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. The center is a short walk from our conference hotel, the Westin Savannah.

Registration will begin each day at 7 a.m. Conference sessions will be held at the following times:
    Tuesday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
    Wednesday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
    Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.   

NEI will host a reception on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Please note that the starting times may be adjusted by 30 minutes.  This page will be updated when the conference times are finalized.

NEI will provide continental breakfast and lunch on each day of the workshop

Please call the Westin Savannah Harbor at 800.228.3000 or local 912.201.2000 to make a reservation.  Identify yourself as an attendee of the Nuclear Energy Institute to secure the room rate of $144 single/double.   A very limited number of government rate rooms are available for those that qualify.  

To guarantee a room at this rate, you must make your reservation by January 9, 2012 after this date price and room availability are at the hotel’s discretion.  Hotel cancellations must be made 72 hours before scheduled arrival to avoid a room charge. 

Due to overwhelming demand, the Westin Savannah is currently out of rooms.  More rooms have been requested.  We will make an announcement on this site should the rooms become avaialble.

We have also secured a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Savannah located across the river from the Savannah Convention Center.  A complimentary water taxi runs between the Hyatt and the Convention Center every half hour.  To make the reservation, please call the Hyatt directly at 800-233-1234.and ask for the NEI rate.  The rate is $149.

TRANSPORTATION

Savannah-Hilton Head Island International Airport (SAV) is a 20-minute drive from The Westin Savannah Harbor.

Taxis will cost approximately $30 one-way.

Parking is complimentary for self-parking and $22 a day for valet parking.
