The Westin Annapolis
Annapolis, Md.
September 11-12, 2012
One of the many EP rule changes requires that each site conduct an integrated evaluated hostile action based exercise by 2015. This means that site emergency response organizations and their offsite emergency response organizations (OROs) will be evaluated on their respective coordination with incident command following a hostile action event at the site.
As a first time evolution, these exercises require additional planning and coordination than that required for the traditional biennial exercises. This workshop is designed to ensure that industry is informed and prepared for the successful conduct of these exercises and will include presentations by NRC and FEMA staff. The workshop will cover:
- Overview of hostile action event planning and exercise requirements
- Planning a HAB exercise Scenario development
- Exercise implementation
- Public information
- Exercise evaluation: NRC and FEMA perspectives
- Offsite Response Organization and Incident Command Interface
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
- Drill/Exercise Managers
- Scenario Developers
