What the Meeting is About
The purpose of this conference is to present information on lessons learned and good practices related to implementation of Phase 2 methodologies for primary system integrity management, as well as present lessons learned from major outage repair/replacement evolutions. Topics to be addressed include:
- project management of the inspection and mitigation campaigns
- performance of weld overlays
- performance of non-destructive examinations of the overlay
- evaluation of inspection results
- preparation of the ASME Code relief requests and the associated regulatory interface
- regulatory interface
- industry's response to the generic aspects of inspection findings
- current ASME Code case applicability and changes
- reactor vessel head inspection/repairs
- other significant outage repair experience.

- weld process development
- focused equipment
- ALARA
- planning
- mockup fidelity
- team training
- human performance improvements
- field issues.
Utility personnel involved in these activities and associated vendors will offer their views on various outage issues. NEI also has invited the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to provide their regulatory perspective. The objective of the conference is to provide information to those planning and supervising these activities in future outages to facilitate more efficient performance and improve safety.

Business casual attire is appropriate for the sessions. The average daytime temperature in Phoenix in mid-July is 105 F; the average evening temperature is 80 F.
