The annual NEI Radiation Protection Forum (formerly Health Physics Forum) provides a unique opportunity for nuclear power plant and nuclear fuel-cycle radiation protection managers (RPMs) and senior health physics staff to discuss regulatory developments; get updates on industry activities; and share operating experience, lessons learned, and best practices. The forum also will include regional RPM meetings.

Conference Information

• Registration will begin Sunday, July 28 at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, registration will start at 7 a.m. and will remain open during session hours. 

• NEI will host a welcoming reception on Sunday, July 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. Guest fees are $75 each. Children 12 and under will be admitted at no cost. 

• Continental breakfast will be provided Monday through Wednesday.

• Lunch will be provided Tuesday and Wednesday and sponsored by the Nuclear Energy Institute and/or Nuclear Suppliers Association. Lunch is on your own on Monday, July 29.

• The attire for the forum will be business casual.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Registration closes on July 19, 2013. Please ensure that your registration form is received by July 19, 2013. Registrations received after that date may not appear on the final participants list.

A $75 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds received on or before July 9. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for cancellations received after July 9; however, we would be pleased to accept a substitute.

Make your hotel reservation directly with the hotel and identify yourself as an attendee of Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) to secure the room rate of $179 (city side) or $189 (river side). To guarantee a room and these rates, the reservation must be made by July 2, 2013. After this date, the price and room availability are at the discretion of the hotel.
 
Hotel cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival to avoid a room charge. The room rate may be available three days prior and three days after the meeting, based on availability. Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is noon.

Airport: San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is approximately 8.5 miles from the hotel.
 
Taxis: From the airport to the hotel, taxis cost approximately $24 one way.
 
Shuttle: SATRANS provides regularly scheduled shuttle service from the airport to downtown hotels. The fee is $32 round trip.
