Nuclear Energy Institute Announces Organizational Changes to Sharpen Focus With Flat Operating Budge
WASHINGTON—The Nuclear Energy Institute announced today some changes to the NEI organization to better focus resources on key policy priorities, achieve greater efficiency in overall operations and address the pressing financial realities of maintaining a flat operating budget for 2003.
The first phase of the reorganization is the integration of the Finance and Administration Division and the Information Resources Division into a new Corporate Services Division headed by Vice President Phyllis Rich. Vice President Linda Nahin will be leaving NEI as part of the reorganization. Nahin will stay on through February to facilitate the transition. The reorganization is expected to be fully implemented by March 1.
“These organizational changes will result in new divisional responsibilities, new reporting relationships and some new positions,” said Joe F. Colvin, NEI’s president and chief executive officer. “These changes, along with a continued focus on operational efficiencies, should help us to meet our 2003 budget goals.”
