EIA Predicts Global 'Improved Prospects' for Nuclear Energy

As the world emerges from recession by 2015, worldwide nuclear electricity generation is expected to grow at a rate of 2 percent annually, and by 2035 will be up nearly 75 percent from its 2007 levels. Over the same period, according to the DOE Energy Information Administration’s latest data, there will be an expected 49 percent increase in global energy consumption and an 87 percent increase in world electricity demand growth.
