NEI held a teleconference for reporters on June 24, 2011, to provide them with an opportunity to pose questions they might have as the result of the recent series of articles on U.S. nuclear power plant safety by The Associated Press. Those participating in the 20-minute event for NEI were: Tony Pietrangelo, senior vice president and chief nuclear officer; Sue Perkins-Grew, director of emergency preparedness; and Alex Flint, senior vice president for governmental affairs.
