NEI, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, and the Nuclear Waste Strategy Coalition briefed media via teleconference on the Blue Ribbon Commission for America's Nuclear Future final report on used nuclear fuel management. Core themes identified by the three organizations include: the nuclear waste fee; pursuing centralized interim storage; and establishing new management of the used nuclear fuel program.
