A new report, "A New Clean Air Strategy," issued by the Progressive Policy Institute, a think tank affiliated with the Democratic Leadership Council, endorses nuclear power as a vital energy technology that should be part of a comprehensive clean-air strategy for the nation. "(L)awmakers should acknowledge nuclear power's potential not only to reduce undue reliance on natural gas, but also help combat climate change and clean up the air," the report states.
