Nuclear Energy’s Role in Reducing Demand for Natural Gas Through Diversification of Energy Sources Used for Electricity Generation
Diversity of energy source is the strength of U.S. electricity generation, serving as a hedge against supply disruptions caused by geopolitical events or commodity shortages, as occur with natural gas. New advanced nuclear power plants and advanced coal-fired power plants are best suited to supply baseload electricity.
