Weather-Related Travel Policy
We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for Washington, DC. At this time, the conference is proceeding as scheduled!
If severe weather results in documented travel disruptions that prevent your attendance, we will review cancellation requests related to weather-related travel disruptions when submitted. Eligible circumstances include airline or train cancellations, official travel restrictions, or government-issued advisories affecting travel to or from DC. Reasonable documentation may be requested.
To avoid unnecessary early cancellations, weather-related requests will be evaluated beginning Tuesday, January 27, once transportation impacts are clearer.
If the conference itself must be canceled or postponed, all registered attendees will receive a full refund or credit.

Update: The room block is sold out!
NEI is pleased to offer forum attendees a discounted group rate of $229 per night plus 15.95% tax (tax rate subject to change without notice) for single or double occupancy. The deadline to reserve a room at the group rate is Monday, January 5, 2026. After this date—or if the room block sells out before the deadline—rooms will be subject to the hotel's prevailing rates and availability at their discretion. The room block will sell out, so we encourage you to reserve your room early.
Hotel Cancellation Policy
A one night, non-refundable charge will be taken if a guest does not cancel their reservation at least 3 days prior to their scheduled arrival.
Important Note: NEI does not have a relationship with any housing entity and no company is authorized to act on NEI’s behalf to book hotel rooms or provide other conference services. There are several metro stations close to the conference hotel. The nearest metro station is Metro Center accessible via the Red, Orange, Silver, and Blue lines.
