State of the Nuclear Energy Industry

NEI President and CEO Maria Korsnick kicked off NEI's State of the Nuclear Energy Industry event on March 23, 2021, with a keynote speech on the industry’s 2021 policy priorities to preserve the existing fleet, usher in new innovative technologies and maintain U.S. global leadership in nuclear technology.

Korsnick’s speech was followed by a panel of clean energy leaders discussing the momentum surrounding policy and technology innovation that will help drive emissions down and build back the economy. The panel included Paul Chodak III, executive vice president at American Electric Power; Chris Levesque, president and CEO at TerraPower; and Melissa Lott, director of research at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University. Third Way Senior Vice President Josh Freed moderated the panel.
