Visiting NEI
We look forward to welcoming you to Washington, D.C., and our award-winning headquarters. Inspired by a visit to the Calvert Cliffs nuclear plant in Maryland, NEI's office space reflects both the clean precision of nuclear power and the warm, collaborative nature of the communities that grow around nuclear plants.
NEI like many organizations around the country is adapting its policies to protect the health and safety of our members, visitors and employees. As such, NEI is instituting the following update to our visitor check-in process to reflect the current public health situation:
Sign-In Procedures
- Visitors will need to sign in with the guard in the building lobby and with NEI’s receptionist on the 11th floor.
- When leaving NEI, please sign out and return the visitor's badge to the receptionist on the 11th floor.
- Please contact NEI by phone at 202.739.8000 or email at [email protected] with questions.
Business Services
- Telephones for guest use are located in the Member Living Room/Library across from the Clear Air Energy Conference Center on the 11th floor. If you need to use your cell phone, we ask that you go to the lobby or one of the huddle rooms located on the 10th and 12th floors.
- Photocopying is available. Please ask the NEI staff member in charge of the meeting for assistance.
- Internet access is provided through our wireless network. Ask the receptionist or the staff member coordinating your meeting for instructions.
Getting Around D.C.
Street parking in D.C. is limited – there is parking in the building at 1201 F Street on the 12th street side, and numerous other parking garages in the vicinity. We encourage you to use taxis, rideshare apps and Metro to get around the city.
Metro Stations – NEI is located directly across the street from the Metro Center Metro Station at 12th and F Streets.
