Washington, D.C. – The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Christopher Hanson to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a term of four years and the reappointment of David Wright for a five-year term. This returns the Commission to a full slate of five members. The following is a statement from Maria Korsnick, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Nuclear Energy Institute:

We also congratulate Christopher Hanson on his confirmation and look forward to his work at the commission. Mr. Hanson brings a wealth of experience to his new role from his prior work at the Department of Energy and on Capitol Hill.”
