On June 24th, NEI hosted “The State of the Nuclear Energy Industry 2020” virtual event on the future of nuclear energy and other carbon-free energy sources.

The event included remarks from NEI President and CEO Maria Korsnick, as well as a panel discussion with Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance CEO Miranda Ballentine and Union of Concerned Scientists President Ken Kimmell moderated by ClearPath Executive Director Rich Powell. An interview with Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) conducted by Bipartisan Policy Center Founder and President Jason Grumet followed.

There has been a fairly significant transformation in the mindset of clean energy buyers… And this transformation has really been from a focus on goals of 100%25 renewable energy to now companies thinking about 24/7/365 zero-carbon power, where renewable energy is one means to that end.
