Reactor Designer, Consulting & Professional Services

X-energy is an advanced reactor and fuel vendor and development services provider based in Rockville, Maryland. Our flagship design is an 80MWe/200MWth high-temperature, gas-cooled reactor, the “Xe-100” capable of generating both clean electricity and reliable process heat for industrial applications. In the United States, we have strategic partnerships with Dow Chemical Company and Amazon Web Services to build over 5GW of new nuclear by 2039, with two sites under active development in Texas and Washington state. In September 2025, we also signed an agreement with Centrica Energy to build up to 6GW of Xe-100 reactors in the United Kingdom, starting with a first site at Hartlepool, England. We also have a 5-10MWe microreactor design, the XENITH, that we are maturing in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense.
