The world is changing, and so are we. Much like a Pokémon, we have chosen to evolve. We heard you and decided to take a new approach to the Nuclear Energy Assembly by splitting it into two separate and unique events: the Nuclear Energy Policy Forum and — wait for it — the Nuclear Energy Assembly. While we will still host the NEA you know and love, this split will allow us to share even more content tailored to different audiences.
Creating two events presents the exciting opportunity to provide everyone with what they most want and need. Whether you’re passionate about policy discussions or looking to be at the forefront of innovation, this new era of NEI’s events will benefit everyone.
Nuclear Energy Policy Forum
The Nuclear Energy Policy Forum (NEPF) is first up on the calendar and is the first of its kind. Taking place May 14-16, the focus will be on bringing industry leaders, policy stakeholders, and clean energy experts together to discuss the future of nuclear energy and advocacy.
At this year’s NEPF, NEI CEO Maria Korsnick will be delivering her annual State of the Industry address. In this address, she will provide an update on the bright future we’re seeing for nuclear, lay out industry policy priorities and share her perspective on the present and future of nuclear energy.
This event will be great for executives, GA staff, and policy leaders at NEI’s member companies, as well as folks from Capitol Hill, non-profits, NGOs, universities, and think tanks. We will also be welcoming folks newer to the fold, like people looking to decarbonize and power their respective industries with reliable, clean, and affordable energy. This is a unique opportunity to create meaningful connections with policy influencers and decision-makers.
Nuclear Energy Assembly
The boldly- named Nuclear Energy Assembly (NEA) will take place a little later in the year – September 10-12, to be exact. This event will provide a venue for industry professionals and stakeholders in the nuclear energy sector to meet and discuss crucial issues for both current and next-generation nuclear fleets.
This year’s Top Innovative Practice (TIP) Awards will also take place at the NEA. The TIP awards highlight the best innovations and ideas in the nuclear industry. Presenting these awards at the NEA will help promote the sharing of fresh ideas and best practices to improve safety and efficiency within the industry.
At NEA 2.0, you will be able to engage in dynamic, industry-specific discussions and knowledge-sharing, explore cutting-edge technological advancements, and unlock greater insights with our thoughtfully crafted session tracks. There will be a risk-informed forum, regulatory affairs forum, security/EP training, decommissioning forum, and used fuel forum.
In the coming weeks, we are going to share so much more about this exciting new chapter in NEI’s—and nuclear’s—history, including perhaps some reasons YOU should attend these events. In the meantime, you can learn all about the latest and greatest in the nuclear world by checking out our blog! You can also sign up for the next event HERE.
