This spring, NEI will be holding the third annual Nuclear Energy Policy Forum (NEPF) here in DC. On May 12-13, we will be bringing together leaders across the nuclear industry, the finance community, and and state, federal, and foreign governments to discuss the future of nuclear energy.
NEPF is where big conversations are held around our rapidly changing world and how nuclear is improving it. From getting large amounts of clean energy on the grid to bolstering our national security, decisions made about nuclear energy affect everyone.
NEPF is NEI’s premier policy event, bringing together nuclear industry leaders and policymakers at a critical moment for energy security, economic competitiveness, and clean energy deployment. This in-person forum provides a timely setting to engage, align, and influence key conversations shaping the future of nuclear energy policy.
The forum is where NEI President and CEO Maria Korsnick will deliver the annual State of the Nuclear Industry (SOTI) address. Last year’s SOTI talked about things like demand from AI and data centers, private capital pouring into nuclear, and the importance of protecting federal programs and policies that preserve and expand nuclear generation. This year, you can expect to hear about how policy leads to progress.
It’s not just the State of the Industry that you can expect to see this year. Some of the forum’s many sessions include:
Growing the Nuclear Workforce
Hear how collaborative efforts to grow the nuclear workforce are producing positive results and positioning nuclear as a career of the future. Dig into the structure of successful workforce programs that can be replicated for future projects.
Maintaining Durable Support for Nuclear Energy
Current and former political officials will highlight the drivers for public and policy support of nuclear energy, how nuclear helps us achieve shared goals, and how policy tools are maximizing nuclear power.
Energy Policy in 2026
