WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) announces the election of Kelly Trice, president of nuclear generation and decommissioning at Holtec International, to its Board of Directors. The election took place during the NEI Board of Directors meeting on May 14, 2024.
Mr. Trice specializes in large-scale engineering, procurement and construction programs. He has over thirty-five years of executive management experience with full profit and loss responsibility of several large companies. In his current role, Mr. Trice is responsible for the repowering of Palisades Power Plant; the design, licensing, and deployment of Holtec’s SMR-300 small modular reactor units domestically and internationally; and the ongoing decommissioning of Oyster Creek Generating Station (BWR), Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (BWR) and Indian Point Energy Center (three PWRs). He is also an executive committee member serving on the Finance and Accounting Committee overseeing the finance and accounting department for the company. Mr. Trice is a graduate of the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s in business administration from the University of New Mexico.
