NEI Welcomes Members to its Board of Directors and Executive Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) announces the addition of several members to its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The elections took place on January 18, 2024, during the organization’s Board of Directors meeting.  

Having joined the NEI Board of Directors last year, Drew Marsh, chairman and CEO, Entergy Corporation, and Julie Sloat, chair, president and CEO, American Electric Power, were elected to the Executive Committee.   

The Board of Directors also elected Kurt Mitchell, vice president and general manager, Curtiss-Wright, Jean-Luc Palayer, president and CEO, Orano USA, and Amir Vexler, president and CEO, Centrus Energy Corporation, as directors.  

The NEI Board of Directors is composed of executives from companies that hold licenses to operate nuclear energy facilities and representatives of other companies involved in commercial nuclear technologies. Members of the Executive Committee are selected from the NEI Board of Directors.
