NEI Announces New Board and Executive Committee Leadership

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) today announced newly elected leadership of its Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as a new Executive Committee member.

Leading the Board of Directors and Executive Committee are:
  • Chair: Drew Marsh, chair and CEO of Entergy Corporation
    ​Mr. Marsh joined Entergy in 1998 as an associate in strategic planning and special projects and has since held a variety of leadership roles. He played an integral role in shaping the company’s national nuclear strategy as finance project manager before serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Marsh became Entergy’s CEO in 2022, responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic direction, operations, and financial performance.

  • Vice Chair: Jim Burke, president and CEO of Vistra Corp. (Vistra)
    Mr. Burke has served as president and CEO of Vistra since 2022, leading one of the nation’s largest competitive integrated power generation and retail electricity providers. He has been with the company and its predecessors since 2004, serving in various leadership positions including chief financial officer and chief operating officer, with overall responsibility for day-to-day retail operations, the company’s diverse generation fleet, the development of the clean energy portfolio, as well as safety, environmental compliance, supply chain, and asset closure.

Newly elected to the Executive Committee is: 
  • Don Moul, president and CEO of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) 
    Mr. Moul became TVA’s president and CEO in April 2025 after serving as the utility’s executive vice president and chief operating officer since 2021. With nearly 40 years of industry experience, he has led all areas of power generation and operations. He continues to oversee TVA’s work delivering reliable and affordable energy to the Tennessee Valley region.

Robert Blue, chair, president and CEO of Dominion Energy, will continue to serve on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. NEI congratulates the newly elected leadership team and thanks Mr. Blue for his service as chair.

The NEI Board of Directors is composed of leaders from companies that hold licenses to operate nuclear energy facilities and representatives from other companies involved in commercial nuclear technologies. Members of the Executive Committee are selected from the NEI Board of Directors.
