WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) announces the election of three industry leaders to its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The elections took place on January 28, 2025, during the organization’s Board of Directors meeting.

- Dena Volovar, president, nuclear, security and environmental, Bechtel
- Nicolle Butcher, president and CEO, Ontario Power Generation
- Simon Irish, CEO, Terrestrial Energy
These leaders bring deep industry experience and strategic insight that will help guide NEI’s efforts to expand the role of nuclear energy in delivering clean, reliable power.
The NEI Board of Directors is composed of leaders from companies that hold licenses to operate nuclear energy facilities and representatives from other companies involved in commercial nuclear technologies. Members of the Executive Committee are selected from the NEI Board of Directors.
