NEI Elects APS’s Ted Geisler to the Executive Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) announces that Ted Geisler, incoming chairman of the board, president & CEO of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (Pinnacle West) and Arizona Public Service Company (APS), joins its Board of Directors and is elected to its Executive Committee, effective April 1, 2025. The election took place during NEI’s Executive Committee meeting on March 25, 2025.

Mr. Geisler joined APS – Arizona’s largest energy provider – in 2001 and has held a variety of leadership roles, including chief financial officer, chief information officer and director of corporate strategy. He was named president in 2022. In his current role, Mr. Geisler oversees the company’s core utility operations, including nuclear and non-nuclear generation, customer strategy, public policy and overall business strategy.

In addition to his roles at Pinnacle West, APS and NEI, Mr. Geisler chairs the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and serves on the boards of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) and the W.P. Carey Dean’s Council at Arizona State University. He also serves as the 56th Fighter Wing Command Honorary Commander at Luke Air Force Base.

Mr. Geisler holds a bachelor of science from Colorado State University and a master’s in business administration from Arizona State University and has completed executive programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.

The NEI Board of Directors is composed of leaders from companies that hold licenses to operate nuclear energy facilities and representatives from other companies involved in commercial nuclear technologies. Members of the Executive Committee are selected from the NEI Board of Directors.
