NEI Welcomes Industry Leaders to its Board

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) today announced additions to its Board of Directors. Elections took place during the organization’s Board of Directors meeting on May 12, 2026.

New to the Board of Directors are:

  • Michael Skaggs, interim president and CEO, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) (joined by role)

    Mr. Skaggs was named TVA’s interim president and CEO in April 2026 after previously serving as the utility’s chief operating officer. Throughout more than 40 years in the utility industry, he has held leadership roles across nuclear construction, operations and power generation, including work leading the startup of Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Unit 2 and the recovery of Browns Ferry Unit 1.
  • Thomas Logan, founder, chairman and CEO, Mirion 

    Mr. Logan has led Mirion since its inception in 2005 and has guided the company’s growth as a global provider of radiation safety, measurement and nuclear technologies serving the energy, medical and defense sectors. He currently serves as chairman and CEO and has more than 30 years of experience across the energy and industrial technology industries.
  • Sarah Riedel, president and CEO, Urenco, Inc.; head of global sales, Urenco, Ltd.

    Ms. Riedel oversees commercial and sales activities supporting Urenco’s nuclear fuel customers in the United States and globally. She has held leadership roles across the nuclear fuel cycle and has helped advance fuel supply and enrichment capacity for both the existing reactor fleet and advanced nuclear technologies. 
  • Pankaj (PK) Chaudhary, president, corporate projects, manufacturing and supply chain, Holtec International

    Mr. Chaudhary leads Holtec International’s project management, manufacturing, supply chain and site service organizations, along with the company’s digital innovation and information technology departments. He also serves as the senior executive leading Holtec’s Nuclear Power Division, the company’s largest business unit. Since joining Holtec in 1996, he has held leadership positions across engineering and operations and has nearly 30 years of experience in the nuclear energy industry.

NEI congratulates the new directors, whose leadership experience will support the organization’s work to advance policies and initiatives that strengthen the U.S. commercial nuclear energy industry. 

The NEI Board of Directors is composed of leaders from companies that hold licenses to operate nuclear energy facilities and representatives from other companies involved in commercial nuclear technologies.
